David Coffey is president and CEO of Mutual Savings Bank, Franklin. He started his banking career as a management trainee with Union Federal Savings Bank in 1986. Following nearly nine years of service, Coffey joined Home Federal Savings Bank as a vice president and branch administrator. In 1998, Coffey joined Mutual Savings Bank serving initially as senior vice president and chief operating officer. He was later elevated to executive vice president and also served as chief financial officer before being named president and CEO on Jan. 1, 2018. Coffey has served on the board of directors for Mutual Savings Bank since 1999 and its holding company, Third Century Bancorp, since its founding in 2004.

Coffey is active in the bank’s market area. He is a member of Franklin Rotary and Franklin Elks. Coffey also serves on the boards of United Way of Johnson County and Aspire Economic Development and Chamber Alliance. During his career in banking he has served the IBA on various committees and ABA’s Community Bank Council.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Franklin College. Coffey also is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
