Kent A. Liechty is president and CEO of First Bank of Berne. He joined the bank in 1997 as executive vice president and was named president and CEO in 2010.
Liechty began his career as a credit analyst with NBD Bank, Detroit, then transitioned into commercial and corporate lending positions.
He currently serves on the Federal Reserve’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council, as president of the board of Swiss Village Inc., treasurer of Youth for Christ, and a board member of Berne Community Development Corp. and Adams County Economic Development. Additionally, Liechty is active with First Mennonite Church and Junior Achievement.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, an MBA from Indiana University and has completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, for which he serves as an advisory board member.
