Mark E. Bruin is president and CEO of The National Bank of Indianapolis. He joined the bank in 2001 to lead its corporate banking and Treasury management departments, later becoming responsible for overseeing all client-related businesses. In 2019, he became president and CEO, responsible for setting the strategic direction of the bank as well as responsibility for financial management, human resources and compliance and regulatory matters.

Bruin started his banking career in commercial lending, specifically asset based lending, serving first with Comerica Bank and then Indiana National Bank (later to become NBD bank and subsequently Bank One).

He serves as a board member for LYNX Capital Corporation, Noble of Indiana and Premier Capital Corporation. He is also a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Bruin earned his bachelor's and MBA degrees from Indiana University.
