Indiana will soon have its first de novo bank in nearly 20 years. Generations Community Bank, Indianapolis, received regulatory approval from both state and federal agencies this summer, pending completion of the bank's capital raise. The start-up also represents an opportunity for CRA credit for other banks that invest in it.

A new survey indicates fraud may be trending down year-over-year, but consumer expectations for their financial institutions protecting them against fraud remain high. The survey found the downward trend only applied to individuals; small businesses reported more cases of fraud in the first half of 2025, many facing losses of more than $10,000.
