Virtual BSA Graduate School

This two-day program is designed for BSA professionals who are competent in the core requirements of Bank Secrecy Act rules. It will provide an advanced level of training on the
challenges of developing and managing an effective BSA program. Because this session is
virtual, it will be mostly lecture; however, all attendees will be encouraged to participate
where they can. Attendees are asked to find a quiet location to limit background noise.

The curriculum will extensively cover Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), dedicating ample
time to this area, as SARs now encompass a broader range of topics than in the past.
Attendees are encouraged to share "war stories" related to their experiences with SAR filings
while gaining useful information from the presenters. Real-life BSA scenarios will also be
explored through examples, and attendees will be asked to provide unique “war stories” prior
to the session. Names and other identifying information will be omitted. These stories will be
useful to everyone, and active contributions will improve the quality of the presentation.

This school will include the updated sections of the BSA Exam Manual published over the
last couple of years. While many of the new sections will have minimal impact on your bank,
it is important for BSA officers to be aware of them. We will also highlight other portions of
the Exam Manual as a basis for discussion on specific areas of BSA compliance, including
some aspects of cryptocurrency, which is not currently covered in the BSA Exam Manual.
