He was given the award by Christina M. Bennett, IBA vice president-meetings & events, who previously won the award.

Among his accomplishments this year, he ushered the Association’s premier publication, Hoosier Banker, through a redesign and two RFP processes that resulted in the magazine doubling its best financial year from the prior decade. He also served as staff liaison for the Association’s DEI Committee, co-chaired ISAE’s government affairs committee, graduated from IBA’s Leadership Development Program and finished the requirements to sit for the Certified Association Executive professional designation exam.

"One of the things I love most about working in association management is that we embody the idea that we are better together,” Hoffmeyer said in his acceptance speech. "I’m standing here because of how all of you have invested in me, and it is an honor to get to pour all those resources into helping our members serve their communities."

Hoffmeyer earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of the Ozarks and a master’s from Ball State University.
