Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Indiana banks will remain open for business and committed to helping Hoosiers overcome economic challenges. Recent passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) provides additional leverage to help the communities they serve through Paycheck Protection Program loans and other measures.

Due to quick rollout of CARES Act provisions, however, there have been issues with processing delays and technical difficulties. To provide clarity, the Indiana Bankers Association has been in close contact with member banks, as well as the Department of the Treasury, elected officials and various banking advisers, to help the Indiana banking community provide vital assistance to small businesses, individuals and families.

The IBA is available to field questions from the media regarding specifics of the CARES Act and how Indiana banks are helping their communities. Reporters are invited to contact members of the IBA leadership team below. Additionally, online resources are available at: https://indiana.bank/covid-19-update-banks
